As host you invite as many people as you want, or as many that will fit in your TV room. You send out invitations with an RSVP and a request. You ask each family/individual to send you their choice of "Movie of the Night."

When you get back the requests, you look for a movie with more than one vote; or put the names in a hat and draw one or maybe two.

I made a marquee with the movies’ names on it (surrounded by Christmas lights) and stuck it outside on the roof of the entrance of our house. If you can't put it on your roof; be creative - put it in your yard - on top of your car, wherever, but this does add to the occasion.

I also tried to have the popcorn containers that you get at the movie theater, and had a large supply of popcorn and candy. If you can have any other movie memorabilia set it around; it just makes for a great evening.

You can also have games in between the movies; a movie trivia game that you create would be great.

If you have other food, make a menu with movie star names for the food. You will have a lot of fun and enjoy a movie at the same time.
